Avoid rapid temperature changes, such as the microwave, oven, or dishwasher to ensure a longer life of your artwork.
Hand washing your hand-painted creations is recommended.
Allow a warm pottery piece to cool before putting it into cold water or switching from hot to iced coffee or tea, dishwasher temps, etc. Not allowing your piece to cool properly could cause thermal shock and you do not want this to happen.
